Wooferton test 6200 AM 1941 UTC 05 MAY 2024
« on: May 06, 2024, 0902 UTC »
1941 UTC heard a test on 6200 with OM announcing email address:transmissiontest@gmail.com  Audio : https://voca.ro/1fLhEtunhG6A
I emailed and received a reply that "These transmissions were to fault-find on a 250/300 kW sender at the UK HF transmitter station at Woofferton in England" "The audio is contained in a file play-out system and incorporates non-copyright music and voice announcements from one of the engineers"
06/05/24 I have checked with the engineers at Woofferton and the conclusion is 6015-6020-6050 was not them.

Listening to Short and Medium Wave broadcasts since 1962 as a DXer. Nowadays I listen to 48 and 49 meters mainly for interesting stations. If you like to send me an EQSL my email is bkavana@yahoo.com

Of course, Fisherman, on 6015-6020-6050 that was not a 250 kW transmitter !
You erred by attracting the attention of an official station on a small pirate station

Wooferton has already made many tests of this kind, trying to find an elusive TX fault.

edit : the 6200 frequency is strange for Wooferton, maybe it was 6195 ?

Strangely Ray the signal on 6200 by Wooferton did not sound like it was from a 250 KW transmitter. Some of the pirates can be much stronger here.
