« Reply #1 on: October 06, 2024, 0414 UTC »
Good strong signal at 04:10 tune-in with Convoy
Scottish accented DJ at 04:13 mentioning CB radio.
Lots of WMR ID's.
email address of [email protected] mentioned.
So, are we listening to a N American relay, or is it direct from Europe???
04:37  About ELWA memories
Later on with Radio Viking (from Holland).  04:55 UTC at the moment.  Still very strong.
Radio Viking
PO Box 4040
Amsterdam, Holland.   QSL for 2 IRCs.
05:00  DJ of WMR came back saying that this was from 18 June 1978 (Radio Viking recording).  Now into their 2nd hour (of a 2 hour transmission), so likely will be off at around 06:00
Sure enough, transmitter cut at 06:05 UTC.  A very fine program indeed!

Wow.  Very strong into Masset, BC, CANADA.  First tuned in at 04:10 UTC.
[email protected] e-mail address
Kris Kristoffersen tribute.
Lots of WMR IDs.   Love it!
I've been listening all along, and now with Radio Viking (04:55 at the moment)   This was a replay of a tape from the 1970s.  Back to WMR.
Further tape replay (05:24).  Continues very strong into Masset.  All indications point toward a European source, as the signal is very strong all over Europe, including especially Iceland!
Program ended just after 06:00 and transmitter cut at 06:05:00.  Thanks for the wonderful program!  I'd love if an eQSL came my way!

Strong signal S9+ with deep fading at times. Very good audio.
All reports given are direct from my station in NYC.
Main toys are a Flex SDR, Icom 756 Pro II and other assorted odds & ends. They may be older, but work very well for me.
100 ft random wire (all my city lot allows)

Noisy and weak, male voice and music simultaneously, unintelligable. Now a song, familiar melody but can't place it.  Tough signal for me,  SW Idaho 0502 utc 6 Oct 2024.  Airspy and Wellbrook.
