Best signal I can find is S7 at W3HFU, but pretty poor everywhere. Music in AM mode, narrow and tinny.

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using a Hermes Lite 2 with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 40 feet.

Took some searching for clearer signal but got it at MD as of 0041 UTC high band noise
Switched to USB as of 0045 much better readability
Off 0047 after ID " . . . . pirate radio"

I do not know if this was ever in USB but as of 0042 UTC, it is in AM. Agree with SWL'er, quite a bit of QRN tonight. (So much for "winter conditions".)

0046 - noted in USB. Fiddle music.
0048 - ID by male with too much reverb so unintelligible with the QRN. Now off. Sorry, I needed more time for a signal report.

SDR recording catch, this was AM mode, not USB. Fair signal, but a lot of static from storms off the coast.

0028 Signed on 6970.5 kHz with "Take On Me" for half a minute or so
0029 Back on, but 6975 kHz, still "Take On Me"
0030 "I Touch Myself"
0034 "In the Air Tonight"
0039 "Jesus He Knows Me"
0045 Switched to USB - much better! "Wagon Wheel"
0047 Attempted ID with way too much reverb

SDR catch

6975 AM-USB

Signal weak using AM, but when switched to USB came in nicely.  Also could not make out ID at end with heavy effects used.

UNID 6975 USB 00:45z-00:48z 12-12-24

Thanks!
