beacons heard tonight
« on: September 06, 2009, 0405 UTC »
evening all, this is what I heard this evening. Prop has really been bad lately.
8497.70    pike 26 weak
8211.840  OR  reasonably good signal tonight
8003.35    pike jr usual big signal here
6626.150  ditter   weak
no Florida beacons the past couple of days, did they loose the sunlight down there??
Last night no beacons heard from the west but wwvh was audible on 5 mhz under wwv.
on 10 mhz wwvh was the same signal strength as wwv.  go figure...
noise levels are low but no signals storms starting to move up the coast and from the midwest so
the static is starting to build.

have a  great holiday everyone...

It is always good to hr the Pike 26 and Pike 78 beacons
are making it out to the east coast...they live alone on top of the mountain
with the bears, deer and mountain lions...

With no indication that the sun spots are coming back...this winter
make prove to be very good for WW and the Pike beacons to make it back east
often...

WW is getting out well considering its center loaded whip antenna.
