Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

I have been using online receivers because my 7mhz dipole came down in a storm and after my stroke on 3 June 2024 I can no longer get up on a ladder to fix it. Also too much neighborhood noise. Good with just a little noise and fading via the Fair Hill, Maryland, SDR ...

0019 UTC: "The Fighting 69th" by The Wolf Tones.
0022 UTC: ID into "The March of the Southern Men" by Bobby Horton.
0025 UTC: OM on the mic with ID and information about songs of the Civil War.
0026 UTC: "Oh I'm a Good Old Rebel" by Bobby Horton.
0029 UTC: OM on the mic with ID and talking about the musicians and instruments used during the Civil War, then "The Battle Cry of Freedom" by 38th Army Band.
0033 UTC: OM on mic with ID and information about the military bands of the Civil War, then a song that Shazam won't ID for me.
0036 UTC: OM on mic with ID and email address ([email protected]), then "We'll Fight for Uncle Sam" by David Kincaid.
0040 UTC: Off.

Thanks for the music and history, Hardtack Radio!
