Wow (or WOWO

) this station brings back memories from the 70's. This was an easy catch in Metro NYC before WLIB (Long Island, New York) bought them and reduced their power since they shared same frequency. Once after sending them a reception report concerning a broadcasted Fort Wayne Komets game (maybe versus Saginaw Gears if memory serves me), they qsl-ed and included a Komets' Media Guide.
This was the first station I ever heard agricultural and Farm reports transmitted. From Wiki website,
WOWO competed with WLS, WJR and WLW for the agricultural market. Farmers would have the radio turned on in the milking parlor. WOWO executives claimed it relaxed the cows and produced more milk. Quite informative and entertaining for a NYC kid.
