Thanks to a tip on the ABDX list, I dialed up 620 here, phase-nulled WTMJ down to nothing, and heard the usual oldies coming from WKHB to the East.  I stuck with it a bit and heard a local high school basketball game fade-in, and up came the announcement "...high school basketball on Pulse Sports, W-Z-O-N"  Maine is very tough to log here, and this is only #2 for me.

Another station in Maine that can be heard often is WGME with 5KW on 560 khz... In Portland.  There are no real high power stations in Maine the highest power on AM is 5KW... of course there is always WBCQ on shortwave but that is quite another story :-)

Great catch!!!

Vince, thanks for the WGME tip.  I should spend more time on 560, but CFOS can be tough to get past here when I phase down WIND.  As for 620 WZON, they were in again last night with a nice ID at the top of the hour at 0200z.  I suspect something's out of whack there with their pattern, so get them while you can!
