Weaker than normal for Wolverine, S6 with fades. Excellent audio. Christmas songs. "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" @ 0215z
ID @ 0222z
0239z - S5 with fades, "Merry Merry Christmas" by Koko Taylor
0300z - Back up to S6 with less fading.  SSTV, followed by shoutouts to posters.  Merry Christmas Wolverine!
Then into more music.
0355z - S7, playing "All Alone on Christmas" by Darlene Love
0411z - starting to get some fades again, "Santa's Messin' With The Kid" by Skynyrd
0422z - down to S5. "I Want An Alien" by Fountains of Wayne

The best Christmas playlist I have ever heard.  Thanks for the great show!

12/25/13, 6945 USB, 0220z: Wolverine Radio ID and some R&B Christmas songs, including one by Stevie Wonder, and some bluesy Christmas theme song with slide guitar around 0225z (sounds sorta like Joe Cocker?).
0230z: Da Boss "Sandy Claws Am Comin' 2 Town" with the Big Man blowing that big sax.
0300z: Wolverine Radio ID after "Last Night I Went Out With Santa Claus" (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy?).
0301z: BB King Christmas song.  No mistaking that vibrato sting.
0309z: SSTV (no copy, not running MMSSTV tonight) and shout out from Wolverine op to listeners.  Can't quite copy through noise and fades, but thanks for the show!

Fair to good, S1-S5, lots of fades, but I ain't complaining.  This is the first pirate I've heard in weeks.  Thanky kindly, Wolverine, happy holidays and a wonderful 2014!

By 0300z, signal occasionally peaked to S7, well above noise, still some fades to S1.  Via Palstar and indoor antenna stretched across the ceiling.  Great audio and wide signal - listening without narrow filter, sounds better via the Palstar's wide Murata filter than Collins narrow filter.

0311z: Hey, sounds like a follow up show!  Some big band music.  "What is Santa Claus bringing..." and some scat singing.
0350z: Sounded like a John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band Christmas theme song.

Tuned in late at 0300utc, poor/weak sig fading in & out, excellent program as usual, jazz/blues/pop xmas tunes, SSTV/FAX at 0308. Too bad I missed most of program due to other commitments. Edit, at 0310utc apparently repeating program of jazz/blues/big band xmas tunes. Thanks, I like these tunes, better than the drivel on regular radio even if reception is only improved to fair/poor. Edit at 0424. song: "I want an alien for xmas" at 0422utc. Now SSTV/FAX at 0424.

Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com
