Unfortunately due to transmitter problems at the site in the UK, Woofferton, our DRM Canada Day Special did not go out as planned on 2 July. There was a transmitter failure which meant that our show did not start to air until 33 minutes past the hour, meaning that only half the show actually went out. As a result of the problems the people at Encompass Media have offered me a repeat transmission. This repeat transmission will take place on 6 July Sunday UT at 0300 UT on 11960 kilohertz DRM mode. As before it will be beamed to North America.
Even though only 27 minutes of the program went out on the originally scheduled time, it was well received in North America, giving listeners a chance to hear DRM directed to them specifically.
Best reception was on the east coast of the United States and Canada. However even here on the West coast of Canada I was able to get and decode the DRM signal. So if you've never heard how good DRM can sound when it works, Please tune in.
