On what basis do you think it's R. Brasil Central? 4985 disappeared a while ago and at least one person thinks both frequencies are down for good: https://mt-shortwave.blogspot.com/2025/05/active-brazilian-list-on-shortwave.html.  But their FB page (unlike their web page) still lists both SW frequencies so it's certainly possible.
Big into SWDX late 70s through early 90s, then forgot about it and when I returned via SDRs it wasn't at all what I remembered, but I'll deal with it. Grumble, grumble. All SDRs acknowledged, nothing is from my own radio.

Well, bad news about that but I was glad to see that Rich D'Angelo is still active :)

Vatican Radio is on 11815 16-17, and for those last 20 minutes its in ukrainian.. thats likely what you heard.

How do ya confuse ukrainian with portuguese?
