SDRplay RSP2/RSPdx  w/SDRuno or SDRconnect SW ; N-S 43M Dipole /  Disclaimer: Shazam/Sound-Hound used to ID many songs.

Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

At 0205, this station ID'd in Morse as WDEF

0157 The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, with a Percy Faith- type orchestra
0159 another tune, I don't know it
0200 another, this one in 3/4 time
0202 I'll bet it's Lawrence Welk, with an accordion and Thomas organ
0205 ID in Morse after a couple of QRZ's, then "the following music will test if your right and left channels are balanced"

Receiver:  Lodi NY SDR
SINPO:   45444

Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, CB antenna, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because my 7mhz dipole came down in a storm and after my stroke on 3 June 2024 I can no longer get up on a ladder to fix it. Also too much neighborhood noise. 0239 S9, occasionally stronger. Audio sounds a little funky but it may be some local interference on my end.
