I met the real Art Bell in Spring 2015 a few weeks before a relaunch of his show. I was with some friends in the broadcast business supplying him with equipment and was asked if I wanted to come along.  I got to hang on his couch at home 5 feet away from him while they talked about equipment. EVen got to see his ham shack.  He lived in a cul de sac and bought all the houses so hed have no neighbors and his ham shack and broadcast studio was in one of those houses 2 doors away from his.
