S5-S7 signal heard via the Lodi, New York, SDR with good audio but with some noise and fading ...
2256 UTC: Art Bell on "Coast to Coast AM" talking to Andrew Yoder about shortwave listening, pirate stations, and the lack of enforcement by the FCC against pirates back in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
2308 UTC: Art Bell going to his ad break, then immediately back and playing clips from shortwave pirate radio broadcasts.
2316 UTC: The signal's now a solid S7+ at the Lodi SDR as Art Bell continues to play an extended pirate radio clip from the old Voice of Laryngitis. He and Andrew also talk about how the FCC may hold grudges against stations that poke fun of the agency.
2327 UTC: Art took an ad break, then came back with another pirate radio clip, and continued to interview Andrew Yoder about pirates, numbers stations, and he played a couple more clips of pirates.
2347 UTC: Art and Andrew are back after another ad break on "Coast to Coast AM." Per Andrew below, this interview aired on a notorious date: the morning of Sept. 11, 2001.
0002 UTC: Sounds like the interview's wrapping up. (I've never heard this before, as I was on my long shortwave listening hiatus when this first aired. This was great, Andrew!)
