WDEF 6964 USB 0009 UTC 22 SEP 2025
« on: September 22, 2025, 0011 UTC »
Very solid S7ish signal heard via the Lodi, New York, SDR with good audio that's staying above the noise and rising static crashes tonight ...

0009 UTC: Robotic-voiced WDEF ID into "Memories Can't Wait" by Talking Heads.
0013 UTC: Episode of "Richard Diamond, Private Detective" started.
0025 UTC: As the "Richard Diamond" episode continues, I checked the Northern Utah SDR and can hear weak audio there, despite still being in daylight. No sign of the signal out here near Seattle, of course.
0033 UTC: SSTV transmission that I didn't decode.
0035 UTC: Back to "Richard Diamond."
0041 UTC: Richard Diamond/Dick Powell's now singing "Dear Hearts and Gentle People" to wrap up the episode.
0044 UTC: Robotic-voiced WDEF ID, then Onion Radio News fake news story.
0045 UTC: "Ruby Tuesday" by The Rolling Stones.
0048 UTC: Start of another "Richard Diamond, Private Detective" episode.

Thanks for another broadcast of music and radio drama!

0042  Radio mystery, the detective singing 0114, ending scene, credits, "Richard Diamond, Private Detective", NBC tones, ID, fade - bouncy march, 0121 just barely audible.  0122 CW, 0125 signal up with 'Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Major, Op. 26:1, Andante - Allegro' - Julius Katchen, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande & Ernest Anserment.

S7 until fade.  Good audio.
