Nice S7 to S9 signal heard via the Fair Hill, Maryland, SDR with good, solid audio amid relatively low noise levels ...

1948 UTC: "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane.
1949 UTC: Quick ID announcement by the usual WDOG host into "Piece of My Heart" by Big Brother & The Holding Company feat. Janis Joplin.
1953 UTC: Dogs barking and howling into "Free to Decide" by The Cranberries (great to hear this band, which is the band that indirectly led me to marrying my wife 28 years ago).
1957 UTC: ID and thanks to listeners for listening to the broadcast, then "Bette Davis Eyes" by Kim Carnes.
2001 UTC: ID into "Our Lips Are Sealed" by The Go-Go's.
2004 UTC: Announcer: "What is that bright star in the sky this evening?" into "Venus" by Shocking Blue.
2007 UTC: "Them Heavy People" by Kate Bush.
2010 UTC: "Freddie" says the host left with the dogs and he's now in charge to play one more song (or more), then "Barracuda" by Heart.
2014 UTC: "Femme Fatale" by The Velvet Underground & Nico.
2017 UTC: Freddie on the mic saying he'll keep playing music, then "You Better Run" by Pat Benatar.
2020 UTC: ID by Freddie into "Fade Into You" by Mazzy Star (which will always be a great song).
2025 UTC: Freddie talking about what he does at the station into "Cannonball" by The Breeders, also an all-time favorite song of mine. Freddie's doing great at picking the songs!
2028 UTC: WDOG jingle ID into "As Tears Go By" by Marianne Faithfull.
2031 UTC: Freddie chatting a bit into "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac.
2035 UTC: "Lay Down (Candles in the Rain) [Live]" by Melanie. Now listening via the Presque Isle, Wisconsin, SDR, which also has a very good S7-S9 signal; SINPO 45444.
2039 UTC: Freddie: "It is very quiet without the dogs here." That was followed by "Everybody Knows" by Concrete Blonde, a decent cover of Leonard Cohen's song. I've been seeing how far west this signal's traveling. There's barely audible audio on a signal no better than S3 heard via the Northern Utah SDR.
2044 UTC: "Would I Lie To You?" by Eurythmics. I remember buying this album on cassette in 1985. hearing it, and thinking "Wait, this synth band knows how to use guitars?"
2048 UTC: Freddie on the mic again, then "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia.
2052 UTC: "Brass in Pocket" by The Pretenders. I'm going to stop posting for now, but I'll keep listening!
* * * * * *
2010 UTC: Freddie barking, WDOG jingle ID, then the "Are Friends 'Electric'?" interval signal and repeated Morse code ID.
2012 UTC: The professor is back as the usual host, talking about doing Halloween-ish programming into "That Unwanted Animal" by The Amazing Devil.

Thanks for all the great music today, WDOG!
