Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

0120 on Empire MI sdr with fair S7 signal, C&W music,
Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, CB antenna, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because my 7mhz dipole came down in a storm and after my stroke on 3 June 2024 I can no longer get up on a ladder to fix it. Also too much neighborhood noise. S10+ signal and good audio heard via the Traverse City, Michigan, SDR amid moderate background noise levels ...

0126 UTC: "The Streets of Laredo" by Marty Robbins.
0128 UTC: Hank Hill saying "That's more like it" about the music and giving VFO Radio ID, then "Pancho and Lefty" by Willie Nelson.
0132 UTC: Hank Hill (or, more precisely, his AI doppelganger) talking about how much he likes Willie Nelson and Bobby Hill chimed in. That was followed by "There Ain't No Good Chain Gang" by Johnny Cash.
0136 UTC: Male host gave sign-off message: ID and email address over an instrumental version of "America the Beautiful."
0137 UTC: Off.

Thanks for the music, VFO Radio. Sorry I didn't tune in earlier!
