https://internetwork.com/radio/sstran.htm  I don't have an SSTRAN AM Part 15 transmitter, yet, but for those of you that do, here's a link, that was FWR'ed to me, of a lot of great INFO here. And, bonus INFO on AM modulation and testing as well.
“I am often asked how radio works. Well, you see, wire telegraphy
is like a very long cat. You yank his tail in New York and he
meows in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? Now, radio is
exactly the same, except that there is no cat.”
-Attributed to Albert Einstein, but I ripped it from the latest Splatter .PDF March 2025 issue.

There's an SSStran AMT3000 on eBay for $399 OBO https://www.ebay.com/itm/389044025538

I'd probably snag it but I already have one and 2 Rangemasters to boot. I don't need another.

That AMT3000 and AMT5000 page was written by broadcast engineer Clark Burgard N1BCG and, as you say ThaDood, is full of great information. I think that the majority of folk who own SSTRAN transmitters bought them to broadcast to radios around the house, and are not inclined to go to a lot of time and effort to maximize the effectiveness of their installations. If it helps just one or two people though, it's worth it.
