This is your chance to own a serious AM transmitter with superior audio quality and stability.
This is the TX that Radio Ronin Shortwave used for the last couple years on the air. On the air it was known affectionately known as the “Smart Boy”. This TX has superior AM audio quality. Most would agree that among other things RRS was known for delivering very good audio to the listeners.
RF Electronics, the builder of this TX, has made this TX in two versions.  This transmitter operates in the 3.5MHz-7.3MHz range. The other version covered the AM broadcast band. They are identical radios with the exception of the operating frequency. Their intent was that the AM band version could become the exciter to a linear Amp. So, in other words you can plug a linear Amp into this TX and have pretty much as much power (within reason) as you like. In addition, both versions are rated at 24 Hr., duty cycle as long as the ambient temp is below 104 F.
