today on USB heard some guys with net control talking back to each other seem to be spread out all over the country with calls signs like AFA5PL & AFA1ML AFA5BP all saying they were TransCon. what would that be apart of ?
listning to the world on 200' of wire  assisted by a host of Hallicrafters,Icoms,Heath Kits and Radio Shack radios.  Stevo in Maryland

I believe those are Air Force MARS stations.
