Neighbors Having Coffee on 43 Meters Radio 6950 USB 0116 UTC 28 NOV 2025
« on: November 28, 2025, 0116 UTC »
0116: music "Zasto Svices Tako Rano" - Jasna Kocijasevic
45444 to 55555, audio good enough you hear what sounds like pops/clicks from vinyl record
0119: more ? Eastern European mx w/OM singer
0123: "In the Year 2525 (Exordium & Terminus" - Zager & Evans; ended prematurely for announcement by
Steve Jobs w/Neighbors Having Coffee on 43 Meters
0125: more ? Serbian or maybe Greek music, sounds like a balalaika
0127: several YLs singing in foreign language
0130: OM singing; next several songs sound African
0140: West (?) African music ?
0143: American rap music in EE

This is a perfect example of what gets me about foreign languages - it's like, well, like they've got a different word for everything.

Thank you for the very cool music!

Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

0124 In the Year 2525
0125 cut off - Steve Jobs says this song does not fit Neighbors Having Coffee on 43 meters!
0125 then Greek- sounding instrumental music
0127 YL singing, not in English
0130 OM singing, not in English
0135 OM singing, not in English - African?
0139 ditto
0141 African-sounding instrumental with mallet instruments
0142 OM singing with thumb piano.  This guy has a lot to say
0144 English rap - let me guess, "Down With Us"? Or "Number One"?
0147 off air

I love this stuff! It reminds me of Balkie on Perfect Strangers. Or a few songs did.

0133  Poor signal which never reached enough audibility to tell details. Unclear contemp. sounding singing, radio jingle like song, fast solo piano (~ 1 minute.), OM talking into poem (?) then short duet (maybe in an African language, 2 OMs singing for ~ 1 minute, off about 0144.

S4 - right at noisy static floor.

SDR recording catch. Good copy for the first ten or so minutes, then significant fading down to a weak signal.
