Language: French language comms, sounds like freebanders - out of band operators, lots of informal QSOs. This portion of spectrum, right below the bottom edge of the 80 meter amateur band (that is, right below 3.500 MHz) is very popular, even though, like the 6.6 MHz band, there are a lot of legit aeronautical radio service users in the same band, 3400 kHz - 3500 kHz.
