All reports given are direct from my station in NYC.
Main toys are a Flex SDR, Icom 756 Pro II and other assorted odds & ends. They may be older, but work very well for me.

Listening via the SDR in Fork Union, Virginia, which is receiving an S5 to S7 signal and fair to good audio amid the noise ...

0115 UTC: "Killing Me Softly With His Song" by Roberta Flack.
0120 UTC: Off.

Via a recording.  Just usable due to a weak signal--only about 20 dB above the noise.  Because of a band of noise south of 6910, USB sounded better but required re-tuning to 6910.03.

Wow... this was us testing the backup transmitter (FT757GX fed by a Urei BL40 processor). Running about 5W carrier, the minimum amount I could use to center the mod monitor "carrier" meter. Peaking around 24W with +120% mod. I'm shocked anyone even heard it!

It's a beast of a TX that has been through hell. Our main is a FT757GX-II which is a lot better behaved. The main processing (CRL Systems AM-2) is on the bench for required monthly swearing session/tune-up.

The RFI problems since relocating the studio at the TX site has been downright harrowing. RF at the separate studio wasn't an issue like the nightmare it presently is at the TX site. I want my old studio back, dammit!

As I speak, the studio is dismantled back to the walls as it was very hastily thrown together ("Ya gots TWO DAYS!!!) and just needed to be redone from scratch.

I keep finding out that "Too many cooks spoil the soup" and having to hunt down and undo a lot of "down and dirty" stuff someone else did is getting old. I should have just done it myself.
