Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

Listening via the SDR in Traverse City, Michigan, which has a noisy S9+ signal and fair audio amid quite a bit of noise and fading ...

0026 UTC: "Doin' It Right" by Daft Punk & Panda Bear.
0030 UTC: DJ Liquid Todd talking about the music into "Tongues" by Joywave feat. Kopps.
0034 UTC: "Dreaming (Zookëper Remix)" by Smallpools.
0038 UTC: Female-voiced ID into "Sleeping With a Friend (The Chainsmokers Radio Remix)" by Neon Trees. The audio's strengthened against the noise in recent minutes.
0042 UTC: DJ Liquid Todd talking about the just-played song and then introducing the next song, "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" by Prince Fatty feat. Horseman.
0047 UTC: ID, followed by "Think of You" by MS MR.

Thanks for the music tonight, Boombox Radio!

Struggling to hit S5 into metro DC tonight, with significant fade, but signal is steadily / incrementally improving as of 0033 UTC.

Newly acquired ICOM 7300 MK2, newer-still Malahit DSP2, and an old workhorse Magnavox (Philips) D2999 that I can't quit. Receive-only with a new outdoor K-480WLA, backed up by an indoor MLA30+.  ... I'll continue to sort the rest as I go -- planning my own external antenna array.
