WPIG The Voice of the Trough 6977.7 USB 0214 UTC 3 MAY 2026
« on: May 03, 2026, 0214 UTC »
0216: scifi sounds (maybe a digeridoo?), and ID by man, I think it was "WPIG"
- sounds like pigs grunting
- "Freed Pig" - The Breeders
0220: ID by man, music "Pig Charmer" - Jerry Cantrell

Thank you for a very porcine program, a regular swine-fest!

Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

0220 OM ID "The Voice of the Trough W-P-I-G" into music "Pig Charmer"
0224 pig sounds - then narration from Muppet Show - Miss Piggy Pigs in Space, part of the song "Pigs" by Pink Floyd
0234 over music OM ID again "The Voice of the Trough WPIG" then YL "P-I-G, as in pig"
0235 music "War Pigs"
0238 silly pig song, and now Porky is stuttering
0240 music - can't identify
0243 "WPIG" jingle, into new song, possibly called "Talkin' 'Bout the Pigs"
0246 in the rests of the song, YL said "pig" twice; same thing a minute later

I've got it on 6977.7; I'm old and got to hit the sack.  Thanks for keeping 43 meters weird!
