SDRplay RSP2/RSPdx  w/SDRuno or SDRconnect SW ; N-S 43M Dipole /  Disclaimer: Shazam/Sound-Hound used to ID many songs.

Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

2225 on Empire MI sdr1 with weak S5-S7 signal, pop/rock music at noise level, comedy skits but I can't quite make them out, at 2233 switched to Shrewsbury VT sdr with fair S9-S9+10 signal, audio a bit muffled, can make out some words, comedy and background music, off at 2245.

Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, CB antenna, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because my 7mhz dipole came down in a storm and after my stroke on 3 June 2024 I can no longer get up on a ladder to fix it. Also too much neighborhood noise. Listening via the SDR in Shrewsbury, Vermont, which is receiving an S5 to S7 signal and pretty good audio amid quite a bit of noise ...

2230 UTC: Hearing a sketch in progress about Bernie and some musicians, including a drummer.
2236 UTC: Distorted male voice with RCCI ID, followed by a new sketch that sounds much like the last one, with the character Bernie and the background tune "Moonlight Serenade."
2239 UTC: New sketch with two guys arguing over the time.
2240 UTC: Sketch about a mummy scaring people.
2241 UTC: ID again, followed by another male-spoken ID and thanks for listening.
2242 UTC: Some music, followed by what sounded like a classic Adam West-starring "Batman" clip.
2244 UTC: Weird looping noise to close the broadcast.
2245 UTC: Off.

Thanks for the laughs, RCCI!
