WTF Radio 7320 USB 0015 UTC 30 MAY 2026
« on: May 30, 2026, 0018 UTC »
spacy music sideband signal

0021 s9 ‘the turnstile into the beyond’
0055 the Machmen - Gary Numan
0100 Rip Her to Shreds - Blondie
0103 Even Better than the Real Thing - U2.  ‘Achtung Baby!’
0107 Fly Me Straight - Moody Blues
0113 Get a Grip - the Stranglers (well done!)
DJ is whispering but can hear him fine?
0120 Shake Some Action - Flaming Groovies indeed!
0125 Pretty Ballerina - Left Banke
0130 cool instrumental, then a retro type jingle, now a Rush song
0145 still a steady s9

41m sounds great, would make a good pirate band (if you can dodge all the China Radio stations)

You mean we might throw our voice further than can be heard the report of our most powerful musket?

Sounds like WTF to me I'm listening from New Haven Country KiwiSDR and Shrewsbury VT KiwiSDR and the signal 9 out of 10 on both

I don't know the music in this genre and since I don't use an APP to ID...
0019 Music
0023 Station ID with "I'm tired of the same old classic rock"
0025 next song started
0029 Spoken Word - Something about throwing voices
0029 Yes - Tempus Fugit
0035 Another voice break into The Talking Heads - Stay Up Late

I know it's not much of a report, but if you feel like sending me an eQSL, I'd be very happy ... [email protected] and thank you for the show

Listening via the SDR in Lodi, New York, which is receiving an S7 to S9 signal with very good audio ...

0030 UTC: "Tempus Fugit" by Yes.
0034 UTC: Male-voiced ID, then a vintage jingle for a pizza place.
0035 UTC: "Stay Up Late" by Talking Heads.
0038 UTC: WTF ID again into "The Pass" by Rush.
0043 UTC: Usual distorted-voiced WTF jingle, followed by "Let's Dance (Demo Version)" by David Bowie. I've never heard this demo version before; good stuff!
0048 UTC: Host with ID into "Child of the Moon" by The Rolling Stones.
0051 UTC: "Fire Girl (Demo)" by Iggy Pop.
0055 UTC: Host said "From the East Coast of North America, we hope the single's getting stronger." That was followed by a canned ID into "The Machman" by Gary Numan & The Tubeway Army.

Thanks for the great music this evening, WTF!

0055  Not quite audible signal at 0047 and slowly coming up. 0055 DJ speaking and ending w/ ID and jingle, something about Motown, 'The Machman' - Gary Numan & The Tubway Army,

S6 Not a great signal but is coming up.
