« on: June 04, 2026, 0027 UTC »
0027: some guy rambling on almost singing
0028: music, currently low modulation, but was VG for a few seconds
0030: 25222, deep fades and noise, Shazam can't ID
0035: bass music
0039: "Cheveux Iongs" - Les Bel-Air; audio much less distorted now

Thanks for the show!

QSL to [email protected] would be greatly appreciated!
SDRplay RSP2/RSPdx  w/SDRuno or SDRconnect SW ; N-S 43M Dipole /  Disclaimer: Shazam/Sound-Hound used to ID many songs.

Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

Listening via the SDR in Shrewsbury, Vermont, which is receiving an S9ish signal but only fair audio most of the time, with lots of fading and rising noise levels ...

0037 UTC: Distorted music on a very loud signal.
0039 UTC: "Cheveux longs" by Les Bel-Air. The music's much clearer now!
0041 UTC: Parody song set to Christmas tune of "Deck the Halls."
0043 UTC: More music, but the audio's fading out badly at times now.
0045 UTC: Somebody's talking or making other sounds over the music at times. Interfering station?
0046 UTC: Acoustic parody song set to the tune of "Another Brick in the Wall" by Pink Floyd.
0048 UTC: Not hearing this song well enough to identify it.
0051 UTC: "The Break Was So Loud, It Hushed the Crowd" by Lightnin' Rod. Audio's now up to good levels at times.
0054 UTC: "Propadada" by The Ex & Tom Cora. I think I'm hearing peskies interfering at times.
0058 UTC: Not sure what this song is now, but it's objectively weird.
0100 UTC: "Four B*tches Is What I Got" by Lightnin' Rod.

Thanks for the music and miscellaneous weirdness tonight!

Poor in western New Yoirk, SINPO 11111

0135z   There's some kind of pulse competing on the channel, and the music is not identifiable at this time.  Seems best on 6900.04.
0137z   SSTV (stronger than the music preceding), off at 0142z.

Drake R8B, 700 ft long wire aimed west
