Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

Listening via the SDR in Shrewsbury, Vermont, which is receiving an S9+ signal and very good audio with little noise ...

0101 UTC: "Who Can It Be Now?" by Men at Work with the occasional bark or two in the background.
0103 UTC: "Treat Me Right" by Pat Benatar.
0106 UTC: "Don't You Want Me" by The Human League (a big hit from my early teen years).
0109 UTC: The Professor gave an ID and mentioned he's playing songs from 1981 (so I was 10 years old then). That was followed by "Under Pressure" by Queen and David Bowie.
0112 UTC: "Kids in America" by Kim Wilde (also a great tune, though it poses the question of where exactly is "East California"?).
0116 UTC: WDOG jingle into "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" by The Police.
0120 UTC: Dog howl into "Stand and Deliver" by Adam & The Ants (back when he was still sort of punk).
0123 UTC: The Professor was back, talking about the state of technology back in 1981, followed by "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins.
0127 UTC: "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield.
0130 UTC: Professor with ID, then "Bette Davis Eyes" by Kim Carnes.
0134 UTC: "The Breakup Song" by Greg Kihn.

Thanks for the great music tonight, WDOG!

I have been using online receivers because my 7mhz dipole came down in a storm and after my stroke on 3 June 2024 I can no longer get up on a ladder to fix it. Also too much neighborhood noise.
