Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

Listening via the SDR in Presque Isle, Wisconsin ...

0214 UTC: Opening music to a program I missed the title of. The host is talking about American songs, mentions VFO, and then plays "Living in the Promiseland" by Willie Nelson.

0213 OM  - "From the studios of VFO Radio, country music countdown from 250 years"
0214 "This Land Is Your Land" covered by Willie Nelson - sure doesn't sound like the original!  Oh, this is why - "Living in the Promiseland"
0217 "American Country Countdown" intro to Waylon Jennings - "Low Down Freedom"
0220 number 8 - another Waylon song "America"
0223 Bob Kingsley intro's Merle Haggard - "Okie from Muskogee"
0226 intro to another Merle - "Soldier's Last Letter"
0229 intro to Hank Williams Jr - "A Country Boy Can Survive"
But I'm old and I have to go hit the hay!

Excellent program - great to hear country music on pirate radio.  Thanks for the program!
