Got S on 8001 khz  at 1330 utc...

April 28, Once again S came into the shack at around 1400 utc, the freq. was 8000.5 khz.
Over the years S was a favorite beacon to hear while I was out hiking.  It is good to hear S once again.

Ok it took a few days of nothin' but today I finally heard S very faint in the static.  Came up a bit in the early afternoon here, at least long enough for a positive ID....then back to nothing.  Not sure if this is the same one as was there a few years ago... That one had a long run as I recall. Maybe it's back....?!?

I've been trying for S here for the last few days, no luck yet. I did hear it once or twice years ago, but it was always a tough catch here.
