Thunder Chicken Broadcasting Service 6950 USB 2145 UTC 20 AUG 2026
« on: August 20, 2026, 2145 UTC »
2145: music "Legs (Dance Mix)"  - ZZ Top
2153: "Viva Las Vegas" - ZZ Top
- 25222 to 35333, some deep fades; hereafter, unless otherwise indicated, all music is from ZZ Top
2158: "Got Me Under Pressure"
2206: waterfall images; my waterfall was not configured to get a nice image, but anyway, here's one:

2208: "Pearl Necklace", "Arrested for Driving While Blind", "Blue Jeans Blues", "Jesus Just Left Chicago", "La Grange"
2230: waterfall picutres (could not get a good rendition - too little signal and too much noise). OM: "The only one of the 3 that didn't have a beard", "Bar-B-Q"
- anywhere from 25222 to 4534[3-4]

2251: SSTV, verbal ID

2316: SSTV, 1st part of image not decoded

2321: DJ talking about Marshall guitar amplifiers, and the "Marshall bark"
- Frank would likely appreciate of a shortwave pirate radio show dedicated to his memory - Thanks!

Thanks for the show!

Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

Listening via the SDR in Fork Union, Virginia, which is receiving an S5ish signal with pretty good audio ...

2246 UTC: "Mexican Blackbird" by ZZ Top.
2247 UTC: "Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers" by ZZ Top.
2251 UTC: SSTV transmission of a chicken image.
2253 UTC: Fanfare with rooster crowing and male-spoken ID for Thunder Chicken Broadcasting Service. That was followed by "Enjoy and Get it On" by ZZ Top.

Thanks for the Frank Beard tribute, TCBS!
