Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

Listening via the SDR in Traverse City, Michigan, which is receiving an S9+ signal but somewhat muffled audio amid noticeable noise levels ...

0111 UTC: "I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton.
0114 UTC: Male-spoken ID: "This is KEVL shortwave broadcasting on the 43-meter band. Thank you for listening, thank you very much." That was followed by "Just When I Needed You Most" by Dolly Parton feat. Alison Krauss & John Sebastian.
0118 UTC: Male host with ID again, then an SSTV transmission that I couldn't decode through the noise.
0121 UTC: "Coat of Many Colors" by Dolly Parton.
0124 UTC: Another SSTV transmission.
0126 UTC: "The Last Thing on My Mind" by Porter Wagoner & Dolly Parton.
0129 UTC: Another SSTV transmission down in the noise.
0131 UTC: ID again, then "The Story" by Dolly Parton.
0135 UTC: Host with ID again, then "Jolene" by Dolly Parton.
0138 UTC: Host saying this memorial broadcast in honor of Dolly Parton is signing off. He gave the email address of [email protected], followed by another SSTV transmission.
0140 UTC: Off.

Thanks for playing Dolly's music today!

Just tuned in at 0311 with DJT giving a shout-out to KEVL and memorializing Dolly Parton.  Good reception, except for significant lightning crashes into Masset, BC.
KEVL Shortwave SSTV image at 0320, followed by ID, sounding much like Elvis Presley.  "Thank you.  Thank you very much".
Into artist
Porter Wagoner & Dolly Parton
The Last Thing On My Mind
0324:  Another DJT parody, and then back to more Dolly Parton music.
0337:  Thanks for the shout out to me!
