SDRplay RSP2/RSPdx  w/SDRuno or SDRconnect SW ; N-S 43M Dipole /  Disclaimer: Shazam/Sound-Hound used to ID many songs.

Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

Listening via the SDR in Traverse City, Michigan, which is receiving an S9+ signal and pretty good audio, though the noise and fading are increasing ...

2356 UTC: A couple minutes after WTF Radio Worldwide signed off, the "Are 'Friends' Electric?" interval tune and Morse code ID for WDOG started.
2358 UTC: Morse code ID again while the interval tune played on.
2359 UTC: "Woman From Tokyo" by Deep Purple.
0000 UTC: Professor T.E. said "You are tuned to the Japanese service of WDOG Shortwave." A female-voiced ID in Japanese followed, then a Japanese song with a female singer played (the Shazam app didn't recognize this song).
0003 UTC: Professor T.E. gave an ID and said tonight's songs will be 1980s songs from Japan.
0004 UTC: "I Will Call You" by Melon.
0008 UTC: "Area" by Neo Museum.
0013 UTC: The usual dogs barking again into "Deathtopia" by AUTO-MOD.
0018 UTC: The Professor talked about the previously played music.
0019 UTC: Bouncy pop-rock song with female vocalists in Japanese (the only title Shazam's giving me for this one is in Japanese letters, which I can't read.)
0021 UTC: WDOG jingle, followed by "Aerobicise" by La Sellrose Can Can.

Thanks for the music tonight!

WDOG at 2356 UTC. Direct receive into ICOM IC-R8600.  SOLID S-9 with no fading.  6920 kHz and listening forward.  OM giving TE Magnatron as operator name.  Pushing 1980's from JAPAN???  OK.    I'll listen a while.  Using longwire 60 foot, east/west 25 feet above ground.  Sorry, not my choice for 1980's hits.  Japan??   OK!   Near Detroit, MIchigan.
