Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

0033 UTC - Signal is S9, good audio making it above the static.
Location: Western New York ( Niagara Frontier)
Radio :TS480 with RTL-SDR pan-adapter, HDSDR software, Omni-Rig Control, Zenith T/O R600,T600
Antenna: 40m dipole, 20-17-15 meter fan dipole. One of N. Tesla's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production.

Listening via the SDR in Traverse City, Michigan, which is receiving an S10 signal but only fair-ish audio amid the noise tonight ...

0036 UTC: Tuned in just in time to hear the female-voiced Radio Free Euphonia ID into more jazz music.

0106 S9 unfortunetly I have some local crap interfering.
All reports given are direct from my station in NYC.
Main toys are a Flex SDR, Icom 756 Pro II and other assorted odds & ends. They may be older, but work very well for me.
100 ft random wire (all my city lot allows)
