UNID 6940 USB 0118 UTC 13 SEP 2026
« on: September 13, 2026, 0118 UTC »
0118: ephemeral music, [1-2]5221
0119: very fast paced fiddle (?) mx, can't ID, sounds a little bit "Irish" (don't ask me why)

0122: talk of antenna, can't hear most of what is said
0124: more mx (can't seem to ID any of it on this station)
0126: another tune, instrumental
0133: mentions carrier on 6938 -- that's there pretty much every night w/no modulation (other than some kind of TTY or PSK or CW or whatever very narrow band). only once, maybe twice, have I ever seen a station (pirate) with any useful (to me) signal
0136: "anyone ready for another crazy genre change?"
0140: Op mentions 6938 again and the upcoming best carrier song ever, again I can't ID it

Thanks for the show!

QSL to [email protected] would be greatly appreciated!
SDRplay RSP2/RSPdx  w/SDRuno or SDRconnect SW ; N-S 43M Dipole /  Disclaimer: Shazam/Sound-Hound used to ID many songs.

Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

0144  Music with a man DJ speaking between songs.  The signal is just at the static floor, so unable to identify any songs.  DJ's talk is only words coming through without being able to tell the topic - mostly indistinct.  (Mentioned 6938 a couple of times.)

S3 - right at static floor tonight.

SDR recording catch

0118 Signed on with music
0122 OM talking, mentions of CB radio, coax? Back to instrumental/spacey music
0140 OM talking again, then back to music. The music level was OK, but his audio level has been too weak.
0153 Off
