Can anyone recommend a shortwave radio repair service?

Online I see Radio Daze in NY and Tom's Antique Radio Repair in Dayton, OH.

I have a Kenwood R2000 with finicky VFO.

I used Jahnke Electronics about 5 years ago to repair my R-5000 and was very happy. Maybe a little pricey but I thought it was reasonable for the work done.

https://www.eham.net/reviews/view-category/26    N4ATS, in Florida is the last time I did a repair & updates, to a Yaesu FL-7000 solid-state amp. Sadly, I donīt think that he does those anymore, due to lack of parts availability. But, on your Kenwood R-2000 receiver? Iīd say e-mail him:    https://n4ats.com/     Good luck, as that would be a well worthy receiver to keep going. (I still miss my R-1000.)

The best two statements of advice that I've ever gotten are from my brother-in-law in the early 1990's. 1st one, when I bought a used '89 Olds Cutless, my bro-in-law said, "Congratulations!!! You've just bought a deficit!". The other, was on a work environment, " No matter where you go, it's going to be f***'ed -up!". No truer words have been spoken.

Thanks. I'm sending it out to  Jahnke Electronics today. Looks like they specialize with Kenwood radios.

It will be nice to have the R-2000 back in tip-top shape, it's a great radio.
