Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, CB antenna, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because my 7mhz dipole came down in a storm and after my stroke on 3 June 2024 I can no longer get up on a ladder to fix it. Also too much neighborhood noise. 0323 S7 with good audio. Current storms are not helping conditions, but signal is cutting through. Tnx for the broadcast.
All reports given are direct from my station in NYC.
Main toys are a Flex SDR, Icom 756 Pro II and other assorted odds & ends. They may be older, but work very well for me.
