My mother loved B.B. King, something that she passed on to my daughter. When the kid was about 14, I took her to see him live. My reasoning was "The guy has to be past 80, he's not going to be around long, better take her while he's still kicking."
I was never a big fan of his later stuff, but the stuff he recorded around Memphis in the 50's with Ike Turner doing the engineering is great.
