A Morning In The 1490 Graveyard
« on: September 28, 2015, 1830 UTC »
I got my GPS 10 MHz reference for the netSDR up and running again, so I decided to record 1490 kHz, one of the graveyard channels, this morning.

Lots of carriers, as expected. Quite an assortment of patterns in slight frequency variations, as well. Local sunrise is right around 1100 UTC, which you can see on the waterfall as the background noise level, as well as the signal level, dropped significantly.

The drop is rather sudden.

Thanks for posting these, they're quite interesting.
