D. B. Cooper Pirate 6924.34 AM 11/25/2015 1433z
« on: November 26, 2015, 1434 UTC »
Hearing some music but weak signal and a lot of static. Seems close to 6924.5 but I may be a little off.
I updated the frequency thanks to Chris.
So the hijacking was 44 years ago, I think. Great subject for a radio program.
My be off, thought that I heard maybe two words at the end of the song then seemed to stop transmitting at 1501z.

6924.34 here with music, s4/s5 signal, but low noise, so overall pretty good.
Down to 6924.2 at 1452, sounds like audio from a documentary about DB / Dan Cooper.
Then into "The Ballad of D. B. Cooper" at 1456.
Off at 1501. Thanks for the interesting show!

There used to be a restaurant in Nashua, NH called D.B Cooper's, then it became a Hooters... changing times... now it's a cigar store.
I think they found some of the cash, but never him.

Weak signal at my noise level - S5-7

1441 - talking about DB Cooper and composite sketch
1446 - UTE interference
1448 - sounded like an interview with a gravelly voiced man
1453 - discussion about the FBI knowing the serial numbers of the bills
1455 - sounded like interviewer said "This is WDBC..."
1455 - Ballad of D.B. Cooper
1501 - very weak background audio of YL
1501 - suddenly OM said "DB Cooper" - off air

Thanks for the show!!

Chis L., a kid and his father found a bundle of rotted one hundred dollar bills from the hijacking on the banks of the Colombia River while fishing a couple of decades back. That's been about it.

Fansome once pretended to be D.B. Cooper. (along with a slew of other people years.) Everyone liked him best as Herb, but he can't stick with anything.
