Yeah, you're almost certainly right. I did some google searches on the man and his minions and I no longer find him/them in any way amusing. Live and learn, and thanks for the tip EData. If Chris is reading this, feel free to delete this thread if you want, my mistake! This crap doesn't deserve to be called pirate, nor even Pesky? Why does the FCC feel this "religious" material has the right to be all over the place for thirty odd years now, and why now on 6915? I have my theories, the whole topic is beyond depressing. The Overcomer's wiki page is pretty sanitized compared to a lot of other stuff on the web. I'll check out the other thread again , thanks. I agree with you, "psycho binge" is the apt expression. I can't believe there are adults who pay to put this stuff all over the airwaves. Anyways, the signal was TERRIBLE, just awful. Worse than any pirate ever, including "Hello Radio" guys from the 80's. Chris or any mod, feel free to delete or move this thread, this station and logging in no way deserve to be here.
i couldnt have said this better than you

it has to do with money, if one has the cash to burn, a commercial shortwave radio station will do whatever you want for the right amount of cash.
this guy occupies every US shortwave station, he is inescapable.
however, i do find it rather amusing that someone would "key over" WRMI with their own signal in an attempt to trash it or mock it or whatever may be the case.
the fact that WRMI allegedly operates at 100KW on professional directional antennas aimed at 285 (northwest US) but cannot even be decently heard on any remote online receiver in the signal path is testament that "psycho stair" has absolutely no idea what he is doing and probably does not care either, nevertheless, WRMI could care less too since they are getting paid.
i have yet to actually hear this signal clear enough to be intelligible longer than 2 seconds on any receiver in the US, day or night.
forget about foreign receivers, i dont hear WRMI at all.
to sum up fact, WBCQ on 7.490Khz at 50KW can be heard a thousand times better than WRMI.
i have to actually wonder if WRMI is really operating at 100KW or even 50KW, maybe they are operating a few thousand watts instead, heck, save money on electric, make a bigger profit, "psycho stair" wont know the difference anyway - its not like the FCC can figure out (besides a visit) that the station is operating much less than the minimum of 50KW anyway, whos gonna complain about it ?
the one very good thing is that 6915Khz, when strong enough, can be used to calibrate your SDR to the exact frequency by "zero beating" (DSB & frequency correction/calibration) assuming they are using a professional agile frequency exciter.
