Heavily over-modulated signal of (anti?)-Brother Stair, ranting preacher? loud but practically illegible. Mix of preaching and choir music.... Brother Stair? I thought I heard a Walterboro address...anyone else hearing this?

Big rant going on mixed with music for the last half hour. "You're filthy, full of sin" I think I made out. Very poor signal hear but I hear snippets and am recording them. This guy is really pissed off!

One hour later and this guy is still at it. Furious rants next to the Sage of Walterboro? Unfortunately barely legible from my location. I paraphrase: "You're gonna get what you deserve! We all know what God does to our transgressions. I'm gonna SHOW you how God sees you, etc., etc. " I think I heard the guy say this was the next part of "last week's program." "I hate liars, cons, you ungrateful, wretched soul!" This guy is actually preaching and may have an audience, still going on and on at 3:18...

unless its someone transmitting over WRMI on 6915 Khz (happened before), its just Ralph Stair on his "psycho" binges as usual.

Yeah, you're almost certainly right. I did some google searches on the man and his minions and I no longer find him/them in any way amusing. Live and learn, and thanks for the tip EData.  This doesn't deserve to be called pirate, nor even Pesky? Why so much of these programs? I have my theories, the whole topic is beyond depressing. I'll check out the other thread again , thanks. I agree with you, "psycho binge" is the apt expression.   Mods, you can delete or move this thread, this station and logging in no way deserve to be here.

Yeah, you're almost certainly right. I did some google searches on the man and his minions and I no longer find him/them in any way amusing. Live and learn, and thanks for the tip EData. If Chris is reading this, feel free to delete this thread if you want, my mistake! This crap doesn't deserve to be called pirate, nor even Pesky? Why does the FCC feel this "religious" material has the right to be all over the place for thirty odd years now, and why now on 6915? I have my theories, the whole topic is beyond depressing. The Overcomer's wiki page is pretty sanitized compared to a lot of other stuff on the web. I'll check out the other thread again , thanks. I agree with you, "psycho binge" is the apt expression. I can't believe there are adults who pay to put this stuff all over the airwaves. Anyways, the signal was TERRIBLE, just awful. Worse than any pirate ever, including "Hello Radio" guys from the 80's. Chris or any mod, feel free to delete or move this thread, this station and logging in no way deserve to be here.
i couldnt have said this better than you   ;D
it has to do with money, if one has the cash to burn, a commercial shortwave radio station will do whatever you want for the right amount of cash.
this guy occupies every US shortwave station, he is inescapable.
however, i do find it rather amusing that someone would "key over" WRMI with their own signal in an attempt to trash it or mock it or whatever may be the case.
the fact that WRMI allegedly operates at 100KW on professional directional antennas aimed at 285 (northwest US) but cannot even be decently heard on any remote online receiver in the signal path is testament that "psycho stair" has absolutely no idea what he is doing and probably does not care either, nevertheless, WRMI could care less too since they are getting paid.
i have yet to actually hear this signal clear enough to be intelligible longer than 2 seconds on any receiver in the US, day or night.
forget about foreign receivers, i dont hear WRMI at all.
to sum up fact, WBCQ on 7.490Khz at 50KW can be heard a thousand times better than WRMI.
i have to actually wonder if WRMI is really operating at 100KW or even 50KW, maybe they are operating a few thousand watts instead, heck, save money on electric, make a bigger profit, "psycho stair" wont know the difference anyway - its not like the FCC can figure out (besides a visit) that the station is operating much less than the minimum of 50KW anyway, whos gonna complain about it ?
the one very good thing is that 6915Khz, when strong enough, can be used to calibrate your SDR to the exact frequency by "zero beating" (DSB & frequency correction/calibration) assuming they are using a professional agile frequency exciter.

Is WRMI _really_  aimed at the NW US? That seems a big change. My memory is blurry on the subject, but back in the days, didn't they tend to broadcast in the opposite direction? You know, being in Miami, they had Spanish language programming that was, to put it obliquely,  aimed at certain countries in another, Spanish speaking direction? I may be totally off in memory here.  Anyway,  "keying over" WRMI might not be rocket science, I can scarcely hear them either.  I'm just curious what the sum is to by 24/7 programming on a ton of freq's and stations (what is it, ten?) which can have exactly how many fanatics of Stair listening at the same time? Day, year, in and out, is that not chump change? Another SW mystery.  ??? Haven't checked out WBCQ since they were on 7415, did you listen then? Alan (?) in the control room shooting the breeze with staff before nowforsomethingcompletely different (programming wise) came on? They were trying to go solar, last time I checked. Of course, waaaay back when,  WBCQ was taking over the main pirate frequency band. Round and round we go!  ;D

EDIT: interesting history of WRMI on their site:

[I don't see Overcomer nor 6915 on their schedule page btw]

Over on WWRB, however, they say you can lease 24/7 for 25K/month, and here is Stair's schedule:
