Per short-wave dot info, this is transmitting at an azimuth of 188º. Since the transmitter is at a bearing of 357º from my location, it must have gone around the South Pole to reach my radio.

Nice catch, also keep in mind sometimes hf sigs take a skewed path to the rx location.

Interesting. I thought the signals hopped over the North Pole. I hear 9.870 often. 9.380 also. 11.670 intended for W. Europe & U.K occasionally.
