0300 utc, with a very clear signal but not very strong. S7 signal with occasional static crash to S9. Swing era music with some great tunes. Really good sounding show. No fades and mostly quiet. Thanks for the songs from that era. Maybe Louie Armstrong right now?

Ah, very good to know, blw!  That was (and still is at the moment) definitely me playing the swing.  Good to know I made it east of the Mississippi!   Playing some Marty Robbins right now.  :)

Hi JR: nice going, would have been better without the T-Storm crashes ! Sorry didn't know the 50's Om music. Great the antenna works, condx will get better, A=9 and the K=3, the SFI 88 low so not the best condx. Again Congrats !

Radio Amateur shorthand.  OM=Old Man.  It denotes a male voiced announcer.  I'm always showing my age here.  Most texter shorthand eludes me but radio stuff is like a second language.  I guess I have now turned into an OM... :)

Ah, makes sense now!  I sort of consider myself part of that club as well, hence the love of swing music.  Don't get me wrong, I like some Eminem once in awhile when I'm working out, but I know if I tried to blast it over HF I'd have the FCC at my door in about 5 minutes...out of principle more than anything.   ;D

Hi JR: Your not being dumb, you just don't know, its all good, "Om/OM" is a man (old man), "YL" is a young woman/girl (young lady) and a "XYL" is a woman (ex-young lady). These left over short cuts from the telegraph, morse code (CW code word) era, saved the Op(s) a few dots/dashes. Take care my friend, YC.
