Sad, but inevitable, I suppose. This has a nice, short history of the publication.

The Internet Archive Wayback Machine has recorded snapshots of the Passport site as it appeared from 1999-2008.  Hopefully 2009-2010 will eventually appear, but there's often a lag time of several months.

Occasionally there are gaps in site history on the Wayback Machine, including attachments that don't always get picked up - images, PDF files, etc. - but overall it's a useful resource.

This is indeed, sad! Shortwave Radio is alive and well. Where will people get their SW listings from now? Dare I say, despite my assertion that sw radio is alive and well, it is shrinking to be sure, but not like doomsayers would have us believe.

Guess it's time for someone else to consider putting together a database and publishing it. The audience is out there. Maybe this is wishful thinking, but better to be hopeful than let something good turn into something hopeless. There is, of course, a time when something in this world is going to go away and needs to go gracefully.

It is my hope that this is not anything indicative of the future of SW Radio. Thanks so much to the Passport publishers for all your work over these many years!
