Crystal Ship, 6876am, 0039utc 3 June 2016
« on: June 03, 2016, 0043 UTC »
Carrier came on at 0039utc, fair with some selective fading and some static, test tone, s-on with song used by Art Bell (I don't know song name), R2000 & dipole. (edit) Thanks hsmith61 for name of song: "your wildest dreams" by Moody Blues.

Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com

0107 tuning in to Tom Petty, SIO 222 with fades.
0118 more like 111 now, too hard to hear the music. That ought to improve though, it always does.
0121 improvement, able to hear "Street of Dreams" Rainbow *
0125 faded again. (Came back enough by 0128 - "Thunder Road," Bruce Springsteen)
0158 blessed grey line approaching, signal just jumped in potency. "I Know You're Out There Somewhere," Moody Blues
0203 Crystal Ship ID into YL speaking
0204 OFF

* shazam'd

Thanks as always to John Poet for the show, and friends for the relay.

02.00 UTC detected a clean carrier on 6876,1 kHz AM, unfortunately too low audio
02.03 UTC some bits and pieces of announcements by OM heard, but too weak to dig it
02.04 UTC sign off (see my picture)

Had the TCS carrier again here on my SDR recordings from the sign on at 00.39 UTC
QTH: NW Germany
RX: modified Sony ICF 2001D, Perseus SDR; KiwiSDR
ANT: dipole for 45mB

Sorry this is a little late, finally got a chance to check and listen to the SDR recorder(So Sweet ;D) and remembered to turn it on when working 2nd shift. Caught JP and TCS here at a initial S9 at 0039, then dropped to a S7 through out rest of show with peaks back to S9 at times and very little fading. Some storm static interference but otherwise really good show. Details would be the same as other members of HFU. Off at 0204,. Thanks JP and Relayer for the really cool show! Too bad I had to catch it on the recorder.
