band conditions suck here

HI all, I don't know about the rest of you guys but the band conditions have been terrible here lately.
I only heard two beacons today.
8350  dasher
5157.60  blinky
neither was very strong.
I had much better luck on weak signals on 432.045 usb this afternoon.
I caught some weak echo's from Arecibo PR. They were using the big dish for moon bounce.
I didn't have the antenna or the power to make trip for a contact so I had to listen and did
catch some echo's. surprised the hell out of me given what I was using.

I hope things get better, maybe it's the volcano dust screwing things up??

I can maybe get a few superpowers in on the big dipole, but other than that....

Oh wow! Had Radio Australia here last night on 9580 @ S-3 for the first time in a coon's age and they had PSU troubles.... mega 100Hz hum!

5185 went down for a recharge while the storms rolled through yesterday - should be back later this afternoon, with a newly-charged battery.
