RFW 6935/6945 USB 0050 UTC 8 Jul 2016
« on: July 08, 2016, 0054 UTC »
S5 to S6, 4khz audio.  "When I'm Gone" by 3 Doors Down @ 0053.
Some utility data interference but still good copy.
0056 - I had stepped out of the room.  Could hear OM talking, but didn't make it out.
0057 - moved to 6945 khz and playing a Beastie Boys tune.
0101 - Rob Zombie tune.  Did the utility data station move up too?
0107 - "Were You Born an Asshole?".  Getting a lot of fades.
0112 - "Miss Murder" by AFI.  I am thinking it may be a weird oscillation in the audio instead of a utility station.  Goes away during quiet periods then comes back up when music starts.
0118 - "Midnight Rider" by Allman Brothers
0124 - Godsmack song.  Rough copy.
0128 - Avenged Sevenfold song.
0130 - "Miss World" by Hole
0134 - another Rob Zombie tune.  Rough copy.
0154 - DJ Dick Weed.
0155 - "Green Grass and High Tides".  Sounded good during the quiet beginning of the song, but then started getting odd noise above 2000hz when the volume kicked up.
0208 - yay!!.  Audio sounds great now with "Highway Song".  Whatever you just did fixed the audio issue.  Signal looks like it did before the move.
0231 - still there and sounding good

Thanks for the tunes.

Fair to good copy here w/ occas ute QRM

0056 I couldn't make out the OM talk either; moved up to 6945 USB
0104 sounded like some sort of commx; signal is now fading very badly; then a C/W tune
0118 ABB - "Midnight Rider" peaking above the noise

Audio sounds like it has good bottom end, but the top end is a little hot above 1800 Hz.

0145 Peaking up to S7 now and sounding very nice
0154 DJDW announcing a Bunker Test
0211 LZ - "Good Times Bad Times" - sounds better DW!
0232 Thanks for listening, and shoutouts.  Props are beginning to really crap out here now.

Thanks for the tunes!

Not hearing a ute.  What it sounds like here is that during loud musical passages, audio at the top end > about 2 kHz becomes a bit distorted.

Good signal here outside of Chicago
Your spot on frequency, with very good LSB suppression, and audio out to just over 4khz wide

propagation towards Europe much poorer than yesterday and 2 days ago, but
finally at
01.31 UTC Hole - Miss World
01.34 UTC Rob Zombie - Feel So Numb

peaked across the pond again, 6945USB, SINPO 13221 here only on my Perseus SDR
in NW Germany and unfortunately signals vanished at about 01.40 UTC.
Anyway, thanks comrades for your show again!

SDR recording catch, heard from 0047 on 6935, then switched to 6945 at 0057. SIO 555 at first, and for much of the transmission, down to perhaps SIO 444 by the end.
Thanks as always for the show, RFW!
