During sunspot maximum 1990-1992 Japanese FM stations were heard in Netherlands. I talked to one Dutch ham who did it. He has cassette recording somewhere if he only remembered where. (I know the feeling.)

Japanese FM naturally is 76-90 Mhz, making it somewhat "easier".

Finnish records on western FM are China and India heard by Markku Sollo.

On a SDR in France, recently heard was a station in Eastern Turkey, close to the Syrian border.  Just short of 3000km, double hop Sporadic-E

87.5 Pal Nostalji.  SDR displayed PI code and 'NOSTALJI'.  I have a screenshot !

This morning, picked up WGN on 87.7 on the car stereo. Decent signal, ranging from in the noise to full quieting, with the avg signal being somewhere in between.

Hello guys :)

My farthest FM station was in the 80s when I lived in upstate NY and I got KLAV from Oklahoma I believe...

I dont remember exactly....

All this stupid IBOC crap makes it harder when the band opens.. Thankfully all the AM stations near me have dropped that garbage!!

Just now caught KNEN "94 Rock" from Norfolk, NE...a full 1,253 miles away from my QTH in CT.

I heard Whitesnake, then The Offspring; confirmed that they were playing these through website data. Also heard station ID of "Norfolk" and "94 Rock".

I heard 96.5 from CLEVELAND ND!

When I first heard them say CLEVELAND,I thought it was OHIO but that 96.5 isnt called "The walleye" that one is called KISS FM .. I think I might have heard them for a second also....

But now my farthest I have heard is Cleveland ND! (KBYZ - 96.5)

Furthest I had from Long Island was Winnipeg back in 1980, and I have a QSL letter from their chief engineer.
Big into SWDX late 70s through early 90s, then forgot about it and when I returned via SDRs it wasn't at all what I remembered, but I'll deal with it. Grumble, grumble. All SDRs acknowledged, nothing is from my own radio.

Yep, and that reception was the first time I heard "Echo Beach" by Martha and the Muffins :)
