40M CW Beacon? Dasher at 7065 KHz
« on: September 05, 2016, 2352 UTC »
I hesitated posting this morning, but after hearing this dasher again this afternoon (and into the early evening) I think it's worth seeing if others hear it too.

I was tuning around 7065 KHz and came across a dasher just above the noise - 1.5 seconds on, 5 seconds off (timing approximate).  This was around 1700Z, and as the day went on the signal improved.  Now at 2330z, the signal is clear, maybe an S-unit above my local noise floor.

Anyone else hearing this?

Huh.  Just posted that I was hearing it, and as of a few minutes ago, it's gone!  Could be condx, but it didn't do the usual fade and disappear (or fade-up and disappear) - it just quit!

Time now 0018Z.....
