Was listening a while at 7.000 MHz hoping to hear that ditter that was reported earlier... No joy on that but then the pescadores started to come in so I popped up towards 8 MHz to see what was there.  Good copy on Shorty now - sure enough, it does 18 dashes, then quits until the top of the minute, and then repeats.  about 1.5 to 2 S units above my local noisy (on a noisy band today).  Time 2324Z.

A very weak signal from Shortly this morning at 1023z on 7998.3.

And now a minute later, it is much stronger, and then weaker again. Fading in and out now.

Shorty and Hiker are tough pulls for me this last week, as the USCG DRM on 8000 kHz kills a 10 kHz wide swath.

However both were in good shape here at 0300z on Nov 11, 2016.  Hiker was booming, and Shorty was decent.
